1. Scope and responsibility
Baguette is responsible for the processing described in this policy. The service is operated from France and is designed as a general wellness journal for adults.
The app asks you to review its meal-analysis privacy terms at first launch. Acceptance is required because meal analysis is central to the product.
2. Information Baguette handles
Information you add
- Meal photos, meal descriptions, confirmed foods, portions, and nutrition estimates.
- Body, Mind, Sleep, Activity, weight, goals, preferences, notes, and experiment records.
- Privacy choices, notification preferences, and report selections.
Purchase and protection information
- Subscription status and product eligibility supplied by the platform store.
- Pseudonymous installation proofs, allowance counters, request limits, and misuse-prevention records.
- Technical request details needed for security, reliability, and error handling.
Website information
This website uses no advertising profiles or cross-site tracking. Hosting and security systems may process basic request logs such as time, address, browser type, and requested page to deliver and protect the site.
3. How information is used
- Prepare editable meal and nutrition estimates after you submit a photo or description.
- Calculate confirmed totals, charts, source coverage, and progress on your device.
- Prepare personal observations, suggested experiments, and reports when eligible.
- Remember your settings, protect purchases, enforce fair usage, and prevent misuse.
- Maintain security, respond to errors, and comply with legal obligations.
Your full diary stays in local app storage. Longer term assisted guidance may use a compact summary of repeated nutrition and wellbeing signals. General model training is outside the permitted use of submitted information.
Health information is used to provide Baguette. Advertising, data brokerage, and unrelated profiling sit outside this purpose.
4. Storage and retention
- Local diary records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app.
- Meal photos follow the local retention choice you select in the app.
- Submitted analysis information is processed for the request. Security copies may remain for up to 30 days.
- Purchase, entitlement, allowance, and misuse-prevention records remain only as long as needed for access control, legal duties, dispute handling, and service protection.
Deleting local records removes the diary from that device. Platform purchases remain linked to the store account and can be restored.
6. Your choices and rights
The app provides direct controls for photo retention, data export, report redaction, notification preferences, and deletion of local records.
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
Purchase cancellation and refund requests follow the platform store’s controls and terms.
7. Security and age
Baguette uses technical and organizational safeguards designed for the sensitivity of food and wellbeing information. Every system carries some residual risk, so the app minimizes remote data and keeps the complete diary local.
Baguette is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Information known to come from a child will be removed when reasonably possible.
8. Questions, requests, and policy changes
Use the privacy and data controls inside Baguette for export and local deletion. Additional privacy requests can use the public support contact listed with Baguette in the App Store.
Material policy changes will receive a new effective date and an appropriate in-app notice when needed.
